Chelsea's Return Bid For Robinho
Any Chelsea deal involving Madrid's Brazilian ace hit a snag recently when Real Chief Ramon Calderon dismissed allegations that Robinho would be London-bound.
Los Blancos' number 10 on the other hand felt used by his club while Real pursued Ronaldo.
Robinho's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, tellingly revealed a move for his client would be preferred. Marca quote him as saying: "His ambition is to become the world's best player, but he won’t achieve that at Madrid because they treat him like a normal player."
Meanwhile, Chelsea are not letting a rebuffed bid of £21million perturb them as they are currently preparing a second bid.
The Mirror claim that the La Liga champions would settle for a deal in the region of £30million. A key factor in a trade would be Robinho's desire to link up with Luiz Felipe Scolari.
Ribeiro spoke well of their relationship: "He is getting affection from Chelsea boss Scolari. He knows Robinho well and calls him every day."
Chelsea are currently enjoying a growing Portuguese-speaking contingent, with Jose Bosingwa, Deco, and Scolari, joining Ricardo Carvalho, Alex, Bellitti, Hilario, and Paulo Ferriera, in West London.
